Paintings must be brought in and registered on Wed., October 16th from 1-4 p.m., at the Yamboree Exhibit Building.

  1. Paintings must have been done in the past four years. Previous prize-winning pictures will not be eligible for competition.

  2. Artists are encouraged to enter all paintings in the show. Copies or classroom work is not encouraged. If entered, they will be judged accordingly. Any painting not to be judged must be so marked.

  3. $5 per entry will be charged.

  4. Entries will be limited to 3 per person.

  5. No paintings over 50 inches in width framed will be accepted. All paintings must be framed and have wire hangers.

  6. Artists are responsible for their own pictures.

  7. Paintings must be picked up Saturday, between 4 & 5 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS! The Yamboree Association assumes no responsibility for articles left after 5 p.m.

  8. Positive ID required for release of paintings.

  9. No nudes will be accepted.

  10. The chairman of the Art Show has authority to place paintings in category best suited for show.

  11. Best of Show winners photo will be taken at 4 p.m. Friday.


  1. Oil and acrylics (landscape and still life)

  2. Watercolor

  3. Drawings (charcoal, pastels, pencil, ink)

  4. Abstract division

  5. Portraits (all media)


Prizes will be awarded as follows:

PROFESSIONAL: 1st, $15.00; 2nd, $10.00, 3rd; $5.00

ADVANCED: 1st, $15.00; 2nd, $10.00; 3rd, $5.00

AMATEUR: 1st, $15.00; 2nd, $10.00; 3rd, $5.00

$25.00 and Best of Show Ribbon will be awarded in each division
